Overview

Seacoast, a GCG Company, is currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering our military spec and commercial shipboard cable products, representing our company with professionalism and punctuality.

Pay Rate: Starting at $25 per hour

Location: 3800 Cook Blvd Chesapeake, VA 23323

Hours: 7:30AM-4:30PM Mon to Fri

 

 

What you’ll do

  • Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied
  • Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders, to route materials
  • Deliver or route materials to departments, using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties as needed
  • Log local deliveries into the logbook for accountability and record keeping
  • All other duties as necessary, including working in production when needed

 

What you’ll bring

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Mechanical ability sufficient to understand the operation of equipment
  • One to three years of related experience
  • Ability to operate machinery
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Must have an excellent and clean driving record
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs
  • Time management
  • Commitment to safety
  • Experience with Oracle or a comparable ERP system is beneficial but not required
