Overview

GCG is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our Assembly team in our Leominster, MA facility!

 

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of assembly/test operations for work cells per the production plan while providing support and direction to Production Group Leads.

 

Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm M-F

Location: 100 Jytek Drive, Leominster, MA 48309

 

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the Production Manager with hiring, training, scheduling, and directing the activities of production personnel. Develop personnel to meet the business's needs
  • Execute production and shipping schedules and set priorities for Production Group Leads
  • Communicate production updates and provide planning info to the Sales team
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as procurement and quality control, to ensure smooth operations
  • Oversee jobs on the production floor for assigned work cells and provide support for process execution and job transaction status
  • Promote an organized and clean work area in compliance with LEAN 5S and FOD (Foreign Object Damage policy)
  • Comply with ISO-9001 quality standards
  • Assist with ensuring production employees are current with all corporate training requirements
  • Approve work hours/timecards for production personnel
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as required

 

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing management required
  • ERP experience required
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Excel) and computer literacy skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to meet productivity standards, manage time effectively, and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and maintain consistent performance under varying conditions
  • Ability to follow safety protocols, report concerns, and reliably adhere to work schedules and upper management instructions
  • Technical knowledge or experience in cable, harness assembly, and electronic components/systems is a plus
  • ISO 9001 experience is a plus
