Overview

GCG is currently seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to join our Corporate IT team!

 

In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining accurate inventory records and managing the hardware lifecycle for desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals. Your work will directly support employee onboarding and offboarding, ensure up-to-date images and driver packages, and keep critical asset management systems operating smoothly. You’ll be a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, helping to support timely access to the hardware and systems they need to work effectively.

 

This is a great opportunity for an early-career IT professional who enjoys combining technical precision with customer support. If you have experience in IT inventory systems and enjoy a mix of hands-on work, systems management, and process ownership, this role could be a strong fit.

 

Please note that this position is onsite 5 days per week at our facility in Chicago, IL.

 

Location: 8550 W. Bryn Mawr STE 400 Chicago, Illinois 60631

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

 

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain inventory levels and records for IT hardware and peripherals
  • Track and update asset records using Fresh Service, LanSweeper, UEM, and AD360

  • Manage key card access systems such as Verkada

  • Audit and reconcile inventory levels to ensure accuracy

  • Support hardware imaging, shipping, returns, and warranty coordination

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding hardware setups

  • Respond to helpdesk tickets and provide excellent internal customer service

  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with SOPs and IT asset management policies

What You’ll Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in IT with a focus on hardware and asset management

  • Working knowledge of IT inventory systems

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to provide clear, effective communication and user support

  • Familiarity with hardware imaging processes preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs.
