Allied Wire & Cable (AWC), a GCG Company, is currently hiring a Big Cuts Machine Operator to join our growing team in Collegeville, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a Spooling Machine to cut and spool wire/cable products, perform basic inventory control duties, and assist with other tasks as directed.

Hours: 7:00AM to 3:30PM M-F

Pay Rate: $18/hr + full benefits

What You'll Do

• Daily set-up of spooling machine, ensuring machine runs smoothly
• Operate machinery to cut and spool cable, loading wire/cable onto machine for each order
• Monitor tool kit and ensuring all pieces are present and accounted for 
• Run test spool daily to ensure accurate calibration of footage counter 
• Operate hand-held scan gun and forklifts to scan and relocate spools
• Sweeping floors, wiping scrap off machinery, throwing trash away, clearing scrap wire away
• Assist with additional duties as needed

What You'll Bring

• 1+ year(s) warehouse experience required
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Ability to operate forklift or willingness to learn
• Attention to detail 
• Ability to work well independently in a small group setting
• Basic math and computer skills 
• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, bend and lift 50lbs
