Overview

Paige Electric, a GCG Company, is currently seeking a Production Assembler to join our Columbus, NE team!

 

In this role, you will perform repetitive line assembly operations and or specialty operations to produce final end products for various customers. You will work independently with minimal supervision to complete required jobs within the budgeted time allowed.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. 

Location: 1679 East 29th Ave, Columbus, NE 68601.

 

What you’ll do

  • Prepare daily work assignments by studying parts lists and gathering materials and tools
  • Read and decipher assembly instructions
  • Inspect product as required using various methods (visual, tape measure, etc.)
  • Coil, hank, or spool electrical wire & cable as required
  • Use hand tools or machines to cut, strip, remove outside jacket or terminate electrical wire & cable
  • Solder wire or terminals and/or tin parts
  • Assemble housings, covers or connectors
  • Verifie specifications by measuring and keeping accurate count of parts in process
  • Maintain and follow a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Other jobs as needed/assigned

 

What you’ll bring

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or 1-3 months production experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and effectively present information in a one-on-one situation
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in English and or Metric
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Physical stamina and strength requiring standing, walking, and sitting as the job dictates
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, reaching with hands, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
  • Ability to lifting/move products that can reach up to 70-100 pounds at times
