- Partner with Inside Sales teams to document call activity, manage opportunities, and develop quotes
- Develop a thorough understanding of our core product lines and their proper application
- Coordinate with Application Engineers to assist customers in successfully product implementation and usage
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade publications, and participating in product training at GCG locations as well as manufacturers’ locations
- Perform thorough, meticulous lead follow-up and reporting
- Performed other duties as assigned to ensure customer satisfaction
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred; Other engineering degrees such as mechanical engineering, computer science, manufacturing engineering technology or computer engineering seriously considered
- 3+ years in a technical sales or application engineering position
- Driver’s License with clean driving record (required)
- Strong working understanding of industrial automation & electrical control products
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present information and sell products and services in a highly competitive environment
- Ability to travel to customer sites to demonstrate product and provide necessary follow-up
- Exemplary organizational skills with the ability to take initiative and work well under pressure
