We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our team at GCG’s Leominster, MA location. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical duties related to the assembly build and process development of new products as well as identifying and implementing process improvements for existing/legacy products.

What You’ll Do

• Establish manufacturing processes through the fabrication of First-Time builds of new products and the collection of data related to the fabrication of those products

• Make manufacturing process decisions based on knowledge and experience in assembly builds
• Build and test product while conforming to IPC-620 with high attention to detail                                                              
• Identify and implement process improvements for existing production processes
• Maintain accurate documentation files with regard to process instructions
• Record process status from “initial release” to “released” status
• As engineering changes / process improvements occur ensure necessary updates are made and revision changes documented
• Coach and instruct production personnel through build processes as needed
• Initial Release, ECN, Process Improvements, Etc.
• Comply with ISO-9001 quality standards as related to production build and test
• Complete all Corporate training requirements
• Perform other duties as required

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ year’s technical experience in manufacturing engineering with electronic assembly
• Understanding and usage of calipers, micrometers, and Cirrus test equipment
• Working knowledge of process instructions, engineering drawings and specifications
• Excellent written communications skills and computer literacy
• Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
• MS-Office and Excel experience
•  CAD (2d) experience preferred
• Certified in Soldering J-STD-001
