GCG is seeking to hire a Director of E-Commerce Operations for our Allied Wire & Cable (AWC) division.  

In this role you will oversee the online operations for the company, manage the operations of the company’s online store (website) including daily operations, monitoring web performance, defect management, product management (enhance design and implementation), testing and release management.

This is a hybrid role based in our Collegeville, PA location. Bring your e-commerce experience to our dynamic and growing company!

What You’ll Do

• Work collaboratively with the business to design and implement a product roadmap for the e-commerce website
• Utilize Optimizely in a Platform As A Service environment with outside solution partner for the development and implementation of platform enhancements
• Creation and implementation of a digital roadmap for the company in line with business objectives and the company's financial plans
• Responsible for managing the overall performance of the company’s digital solutions through direction of the solution partners including system performance (uptime, response times, availability), backup/recovery, networking, and security
• Responsible for managing the Product Management Office (PMO) for the prioritization of changes to existing platforms and development of new solutions based on business needs
• Responsible for managing the budget, contracts, and relationships with outside solution partners and internal web development
• Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of bug fixes and enhancements to the platform through our solution partners
• Management of e-commerce website testing processes in collaboration with our solution partners for performance testing, functional testing and user acceptance testing
• Technical Customer Support efforts

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in software development or related discipline
• 2+ years in a leadership position responsible for managing an e-commerce platform operation
• Strong Project Management and Communication skills
• Working knowledge of software development best practices and web operations
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience with Optimizely, Cludo search, and /or similar web platforms
