Overview

Allied Wire and Cable, a GCG company, is seeking an experienced and results driven, Senior Accountant to join our fast paced and dynamic team in Collegeville, PA. The Senior Accountant is responsible for working in conjunction with the accounting team to  on balance sheet and bank reconciliations of general ledger, sub-ledger account balances, and AP & expense coding in a fast paced, high transactional environment, where no two days are the same! 


 


What you'll do



  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare adjusting & accrual journal entries 

  • Assist month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities 

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledger accounts 

  • Monthly Bank Reconciliations 

  • Prepare and submit various sales & use tax returns as required, manage Avalara sales & use tax system 

  • Record non-trade cash receipts and reconcile cash daily

  • Assist Business Analyst with building and maintaining reporting through Power BI 

  • Assist with payroll related information; salary changes, special deductions, including garnishments & levies, and commission & bonus payouts and update into ADP Payroll systems

  • Assists employees, vendors, or customers with questions related to payroll, procedures and services 

  • Assist annual 401k and Workers' Compensation audits 

  • Prepare report census data as required 

  • Manage and process annual 1099 filing requirements 

  • Assist Controller with year-end financial audit including preparation 

  • Prepare periodic reports for corporate Genuine Cable Group (GCG) as requested 

  • Other duties as assigned 


What you'll bring



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 

  • 2-5 years of related experience 

  • Prior experience utilizing accounting software, experience with Rubicon is a plus

  • Experience with HRIS systems, preferably ADP

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel including dashboards, VLOOKUP and pivot tables 

  • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities 

  • Ability to build & analyze reports

  • A team mentality and ability to work effectively with others 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high transactional environment and filter out distractions
